Howe Center was formerly home to the Howe Richardson Scale Works, once the largest platform scale manufacturer in the world. This 18-acre industrial complex, located in the heart of Downtown Rutland, Vermont, contains 24 buildings and over 300,000 square feet of leasable space, much of which has been renovated since the complex was purchased by the Giancolas in 1989. The buildings range in age from over 100-years old to brand new. The complex is home to over 75 different tenants with uses covering the gamut from one-room offices to large manufacturers.
